Concert/Event Support
I've been blessed to work on a variety of events throughout Rochester, as well as having the opportunity to work on two festivals in New Zealand during Winter 09/10. I work on production and logistics, as well as assisting in tweaking systems for quality and identifying problem areas. I also work with a team of people to provide design elements/collateral, street team, web/social media, and other promotional support for events. Below is a description of a few such events and what I've done. Click here for my resumé.
Rochester Independent Music Festival - Rochester, NY - Coordinator
Acted in 2009 as a ground coordinator, following leads and making contacts for a 3 day, 7 venue, 28 band festival. Worked directly with publicist on press releases and materials, managed social media, took place in radio and print interviews, and created databases to gather and manage information from all bands. Did stage production day of show.
Campus A Low Hum - Bulls, New Zealand - Director's Asst.
Perhaps the most rewarding experience of my life, I worked in all capacities for an independent music festival at an abandoned college in rural New Zealand. Everything from room inspections of decades-old dorm rooms to climbing into bathrooms that had jammed to early morning clean-ups, it was just 16 hours a day of everything that goes into a festival.
East End Music Festival - Rochester, NY
Web site, Marketing, Long-term logistics, Social Media, and standing in the middle of the street directing traffic while Porta-John trucks block the entire way and old people call the police... 10k+, 3 day summer festival. A veritable battleground.
